Playground To Podium
The Playground to Podium event is designed to give sporting opportunities to students in mainsteam and special schools who have a range of physical, auditory and visual needs.
All students were given information about local clubs that they could join to carry on with sport on a regular basis within Plymouth.
A small proportion of students from the event will be invited to the county assessment day where representatives from a range of national governing bodies of sport will be represented to allow students to try a range of sports.
All Saints Academy took a team to this event and the students gained a lot from their day. A group of Year 10 Sports Leaders helped with the running of the day and did a fantastic job -as usual!

Year 4 Activity morning
On 23rd November 60 year 4 children from Mayflower, Shakespeare, Manadon, Hyde Park, and Pennycross came up for some taster sessions in activities that they had not tried before and that run as a club here at the YMCA. We are hoping that some of the children will have enjoyed the activities so much that they will consider joining the club!
We were supported by Sue Raven (taekwon-do) Steve Walter (judo) and Nigel Hawk (climbing). Also- Sports Leaders from years 7 ,8, and 9 helped in the delivery
Thanks to them all!

For further details on any of these clubs please contact Helen Smith on 07731471025 or ring the YMCA on 201918
Sportshall Athletics 2010
Pennycross, Mayflower, Shakespeare and Hyde Park competed in an Indoor Athletics event on 22nd November. Great fun was had by all, some new skills were learnt and the roof was nearly raised with the support given to the teams! 10 Sports Leaders from All Saints helped to run the event and did a great job. Hyde Park were the eventual winners but were pushed all the way by the other teams. Thanks to Lance Chatfield for organising the event which went so smoothly.

Girls Active Leadership Day - Friday 22nd October
Congratulations to Jess Murphy and Paige Moody who successfully completed their Netball Level C Umpire Award, and to Chelsea Salhurst who successfully completed her Badminton Leaders Award.
All three girls were an absolute credit to the Academy and will now hopefully use their new found skills in supporting our clubs.
