Primary School Netball League
This has been running over the past few months and it has been great to see the girls develop their confidence, netball skills and teamwork over the course of the matches. 5 schools entered the league and played a round robin format.
Eventual winners were Shakespeare, with silver medals going to Holy Cross and Bronze to Widewell.
Congratulations to all teams and thanks to the staff from all schools for giving the girls this opportunity!
Table Tennis -Devon Schools Individual Championships
Well done to the following students who competed in the above tournament held at Eggbuckland recently.
They are 4 regulars of our All Saints table tennis club and are developing into very good players. They were a credit to the Academy throughout the day!
Well done Billy Bothma, Katie Jones, Adam Wills and Ryan Park!
Mini Games
Over the last month, groups of Year 7, 8 and 9 sports leaders have been in to Hyde Park Infants and Mayflower Primary to deliver an intra-school competition- based on Leap into Life skills-to all Year 1 and 2 students. So far they have delivered to nearly 300 children!
Over the next few months Mini Games are planned at Knowle, Pennycross and Shakespeare
The children seem to enjoy the competition greatly and the results will be used to identify strengths, weaknesses and to help identify students at both ends of the physical ability spectrum. The sports leaders were fantastic - their communication, leadership and motivational skills developed greatly throughout sessions.
A big thank you to them and WELL DONE!!

Basketball Charity Fun Festival
Each year, we host a Basketball festival where we mix the teams up from the primaries and have a morning of making new friends and playing some games of basketball. We also raise money for a local charity by holding a raffle with prizes donated by local sports clubs and schools. This year nearly £100 was raised for Jeremiahs Journey.
We were also extremely privileged to have two Raiders players - Anthony Rowe and Lehmon Colbert- supporting our event. They dazzled the children with their skills (and their height!) and we had a great morning.
Thanks must go to Plymouth Raiders for their support, to George Hatchell and his officials, to our All Saints Sports Leaders and to the primaries for supporting this event.

Year 7 Bikeability
The first of our Year 7 groups successfully completed the Level 2 Bikeability Award. They battled freezing weather and icy winds but made tremendous progress throughout the week and all passed.
Well done to them all!
