Partner Primary Football Festivals
On March 17th we held both boys and girls festivals. In the morning, year 3/4 boys teams from all the partner primaries competed in a round robin tournament. After a busy morning of football the results were the closest they had ever been, with only 3 points between the top three teams. Shakespeare won the tournament for the first time, with Hyde Park B and C teams taking silver and bronze medals, and Knowle a close 4th.

In the afternoon, we held two festivals -one for year 3/4 girls and one for year 5/6 girls. This was the culmination of the coaching sessions for girls that has been happening in schools with the work of Mark Young -Girls' Football Development Officer.
This year. just 2 teams participated in the year 3/4 festival, so Mark did a coaching session followed by a game. Hyde Park were the winners of this.

In the year 5/6 festival, there were some extremely good footballers and the matches were played at a really high standard. Hyde Park emerged as winners, Manadon 2nd and Pennycross 3rd. Well done to all teams for taking part!
