Hello from University of Plymouth
My name is Liz Taplin - I am a lecturer in primary physical education at University of Plymouth. In September 2008, our Faculty of Education moved from its long standing campus in Exmouth to the main campus at Drakes Circus. You may know us better as Rolle College.
We run a 4 year B.Ed degree and the one year PGCE. Our B.Ed trainees are all training to work in the primary sector and can choose physical education as their specialism. Our specialists have approx 290 hours of physical education input during their course, so they are well prepared and, needless to say, enthusiastic about physical education.
I have been working with Rob to find ways in which we can work together for our mutual benefit and we are discussing several exciting ideas.
I am keen to find opportunties for our trainees in local schools, over and beyond their official school experience placements. In return we have a fantastic resource for schools in the area to tap into - enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional trainees willing to help you develop high quality physical education and school sport in your schools.
