Wow! What a busy few weeks for PAAC Schools. There have been numerous events happening within PAAC:
High 5 Netball league
We have just finished this league , which has been held over three weeks at Plymstock School, and the standard of play has been excellent and the results very close.
The first week was postpone d due to poor weather and it was bitterly cold for week two but the sun shone for the final week and allowed for some exciting matches and excellent scoring.
In the ‘ A' League the top two teams could not be split even on points difference so Hooe and Oreston Primary Schools were declared joint winners of the League. Hooe B Team also won the ‘B' League.
Thank you to the students from Coombe Dean School, Devonport High School for Girls and Plymouth University who helped with the umpiring of this event. An excellent example of schools co-operating and working together across the partnership.
Multi Skills Festival for Year 1 & 2
Plymstock School hosted the yr 1/2 Multi Skills with great success. The event was based on activities from the Active Play resource pack. The yr 1 & 2 pupils took part in a range of activities designed to improve their Agility, Balance, Co-ordination and Speed. Click here to see details of stations.
The event was run by Year 8 Leaders from Plymstock School and they did a really good job of motivating and encouraging the younger children.
Multi Skills Festival for Year 3 & 4
Coombe Dean School was the host for the year 3 & 4 Festival and this time the Year 11 Level 1 SportsLeaders were running the event as part of their assessment for the Level 1 Award.
This Festival was the same as the year 1 & 2 event with the addition of a competitive element. For some of the stations the children were awarded points for their performance and the school with the most points were the winners. Click here for schools score sheet
This event was a huge success with the Year 11 Level 1 Sports Leaders excelling in their role. They all worked tirelessly to keep the activities fun and enjoyable for the younger pupils.
