Leadership Week at Plymstock School
During the week commencing 13th December approximately 65 students from Plymstock school will be taking part in leadership awards in cricket, rowing, netball, trampolining and football. Leadership is high profile at Plymstock and students will be using their skills to run lunchtime and after school activities for younger students and those in our partner primaries. we hope that this event will grow and become embedded within the curriculum.
Change for Life Table Tennis Club @ Ridgeway
Ridgeway School have started a Change for Life table tennis club which is being run by students for students. KS4 students who are competent table tennis players are giving up their time to help coach younger and less able students.
Ridgewa School complete Bikeability Level 2
Students from Year 7 at Ridgeway have successfully completed their level 2 Bikeability Award. They now feel more confident to ride their bikes to school.
Elburton Primary School use Plymstock Schools excellent sports facilities
240 children from Elburton Primary School will be attending Plymstock School on Friday 22nd October to make use of the excellent sports facilities. A number of Plymstock School leaders will be giving up their time to assist with the smooth running of the events. Activities will include hockey, basketball, netball and football. This is a great opportunity for our young leaders to develop their skills and inspire our younger children.
Girls Active Leadership opportunities
On Friday 22nd October a number of girls from Plymstock and Ridgeway join forces with other students across the city and take part in leadership awards in a number of different sports. The girls will then help to run clubs back at school in the hope of engaging more young people.
