Plymstock SSP Short Listed for Innovation Award

This award was presented to the SSP for creating a clear pathway for young people to progress from Intra school to Inter school competition in rowing. Sue Campbell congratulated all the team and the young people who have supported this work, especially Kev Sellar our rowing coach, which in 2008/09 involved 821 Children and Young people, an increase of 285 on the previous year, and saw students from SSP schools gaining medals at both Dry Land and Water Based National Rowing Championships. It is hoped that this recognition will help to attract a sponsor for the 2010 West Region Indoor Rowing Championships that will take place on 3rd March.
